The card is also linked to the Record Management and Hospital Management software of Yos enabling ready retrieval of required records reducing patient wait time
Smart Card as your Emergency Care Support
Yos brings to you the nation’s first Smart Health Card with built in Emergency Care services to ensure access to your critical medication information when you need it, where you need it.
Basic Health Information of an individual like blood group, current health problems and current medications are often the most critical information required by medical practitioners treating an accident or medical emergency. However, citizens may not always have this information handy. Also, hospitals typically find it very difficult to get in touch with the family members due to lack of accurate contact information. Citizens who have certain health problems or those who are constantly on the move are at a high risk of facing such emergency situations and must be enabled to handle them effectively.
The Smart Health Card stores critical health information such as medical problems, allergies, current medications, details of implants, etc as well as emergency contact information that is required during accidents/medical emergencies. This information can be retrieved using emergency care terminals installed in the network hospitals. Since the cards have up-to-date critical health information stored in them, doctors will have access to all the information they need during emergencies, thus reducing chances of medical errors that might arise due to incomplete or inaccurate health information of the patient.
Usage of the card will also send an automated notification to registered emergency contacts of the patient ensuring that their family is part of critical decision-making process that is an important part of the emergency care management. Even if the hospital does not have a reader, the information can be sent to the mobile phone of the emergency contact by sending an SMS to the Customer Care number.
